Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) is an American actress. Her work has been recognized for TV and film from the mid-80s onwards, she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett comes from New York New York. Her home was Winston-Salem North Carolina. As Bassett was around five, she and her sister were moved from the city of St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother who had been divorced from her father. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in highschool and realized that she was an actor and was looking to pursue. In the year 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with the degree of African American studies. She also received a degree from the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Masters of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the main characters in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
